This app is exactly what I needed to clean my backup of photo library and it has even more features than I expected. This is the fastest photo scanning app and you dont waste time running through 50000 more pictures. I really like the fact that you can see the picture information like the time the shot was taken and all sorts of information. For that price, you can get wrong with it.

I’ve had this software for several months and it still does not work with Photos, despite the notes for the most recent version. I always get a "The file “Library.apdb” couldn’t be opened because there is no such file.” error each time, and haven’t found a solution.

On a huge self managed photo folder, the application did pretty well. Im not using any iphoto library for example. I left the program running and in the morning found really good results. I found the auto-marking filters for the automarking especially useful. After changing them a bit, I received even better results. Overall a good application that doesnt choke on huge number of photos from a regular finder folder. I havent tested with libraries (iphoto etc.) Some features that might be nice, matching pictures that look similar (or have different resolutions) allowing the addition of new rules to auto-marking filters matching cropped photo to original

Works just like it says; sorted >8000 pictures flawlessly in ~15min. Could use some shortcut keys and more powerful filters, but certainly worth $5 for the >100 hours it saved me finding duplicates.

Seems to work just fine, a few thousand copies removed easily and quickly

I previously held onto Picasa for finding duplicates, this app is much better in the way that it displays duplicates and marks them for deletion.

Permet de vraiment visualiser ce que lon fait. Jaimerais bien voir une option pour afficher plus dinfos sous les photos (ex: chemin daccès et date originale)) * * * * Sorted 15000 photos and videos which were on all my external disks in no time. It allows you to really see what you are doing. In a future version, I hope they will add options to see more information below the photos (i.e. path, date of shot…) Great app to have!

I love this app! It blows any other duplicate finder I have seen out of the water. Worth every penny (If you need to buy it/Pro Version)

A simpe and fit for purpose tool. I used it to get rid of my duplicates after consolidating a miriad of libraries into Aperture.

Fantastic duplicates cleaning software. Worked a charm on cleaning up my “Photos” library (I had migrated from iPhotos). I needed support because it turns out, I had issues with my Photos library (my issue, not theirs). Support (“JON”) was amazing, very quick and professional. He provided clear detailed instructions to resolve MY issue, something they’d seen before. Nutshell specifics - he provided clear simple instructions for me to “repair Library” (start Photos App with <Alt>,<Cmd> pressed). Once that Photos software process completed I started PhotoSweeper Lite and it worked perfectly, as advertised. It’s one thing to get a great product but the excellent support was a bonus, worthy of kudos. Highly recommended!

Promising idea but poor implementation. I wish I read other reviews before buying. This App was a waste of my money. After running several times, and identitfying duplicates by all of the available methods, I still have lots of duplicates.

While it did identify some duplicates, there were many more duplicates that it did not identify (it identified 60 duplicates, but there were over 1000). To troubleshoot, I took two photos that were duplicates (but not identified) and added those to the app. The app still did not id them as duplicates.

I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I purchased this app due to devices loading photos to iPhoto 4 times. THIS APPLE approved product picked up on only 3 duplicates, no even the ones that were quadrupled….Unexceptable business practic, im sure the developer knows this and is having a ball cashing in on others honest purchase of a product represented to do a simple task. Just purchased 2 iMacs topped out and a pro. converted from PC. now hesitant with MAc App Store. Nothing like the quality of appstore for pad or phone

Hangs up everytime I try to get the duplicates.

Left many dupes. Waste of money. A real piece of garbage.

This works very well. I just managed to remove about 5,000 duplicates from a collection of over 27,000 photos in Aperture, and did it with confidence that I wasnt deleting valuable photos. Thats the good thing about the seeing the photos within the app as you mark them for deletion. Much better than other apps I have tried to do the same thing. The support via email was excellent too. Detailed responses within hours of asking the questions. Well done chaps.

I somehow ended up with nearly 1400 duplicate photos in my library after importing pictures from my iPhone, so I purchased this software hoping that it would help. It detected only ELEVEN images as duplicates using the "duplicate files" scan mode. So I tried the "similar photos" scan and instead of getting a small result set I got a LOT of false positives. This software was completely useless... Dont waste your money on it.

This app is fabulous! I was preparing a slide show and had numerous duplicates….even with different file names and it found them all! Defintely worth the money!!!
