I was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews, but I found this app to work very well indeed and out of a library of 28,000 photos, I had over 5,000 duplicates. You have the option of reviewing the duplicates before you empty the Trash, so you can see for yourself what kind of job this app is doing. Highly recommended!!!

This application offers what I’ve been looking in when checking my photo library. Instead of just looking looking at the name, filesize, or checksum, this app goes deeper. I have 15 rules setup to determine how files are matched and how they are marked for delition. Granted this application isn’t perfect, but if I can go through >15,000 photos and only have to spend 10 minutes double-checking the work, then hell yes this app is great!

I coppied my library about 5 times by accident, don’t ask, just know im not very computer savvy, and for months i been trying to delete all the duplicates. Did a little research and found this app. It is absoultey worth it!!! Ive spent hours and hours and it seemed like it was going nowhere, but this bad boy chomped it all up in a snap! Very easy to use, just loved it.

I had over 49,000 photos on my computer. Before iCloud, everytime we got a new computer, we transferred files from the old hard drives to the new ones; I ended up with triplicates and sometimes more of some photos. This software found the duplicates easily and I was able to delete them quickly! The software did the work automatically (there is a manual option) and I am now down to around 24,000 photos! Thanks to the inexpensive software, I was able to save lots of time and aggrevation.

I have seriously spent hours and hours trying to accomplish what this app does in minutes. Even the largest library I have (over 60 GB) took less than 30 minutes to scan, detect and trash duplicates. This is probably the best money I’ve ever spent on an app! The only thing better would be to be able to scan mulitple libraries at once to detect shared duplicates. Maybe that’s possible, but I haven’t figured it out yet… Thank you for a fantastic app!

I was hoping to get an app that would detect and delete duplicate photos - particularly one I could use with the iPhoto app. This isnt that - I am stuck looking at hundreds of duplicate photos that the iPhoto app apparently thinks I need. I actually have very little idea as to what this app is meant to do, but I do know it is not meant to detect duplicate photos from iPhoto.

I am a long time photography aficionado. I moved to digital photography in 2008 and have over 60,000 images. Due to backup inconsistencies, changes on the computer I use, different external disks, iPad learning curve… I have many images that are duplicates. Photo Sweeper lite went through more than 8 terabytes of storage, reviewing Apperture and iPohot libraries, identifying all repetitions and - after my approval - deleting them all. I recommend this app to any photography practitioner.

It deleted 6,716 photos and saved me 11.16 GB on my hardrive in less than 10 minutes!! Esy to use and quick to rememdy. I am in disbelief! Thankyou Thank you!

This is worth every penny. It is quick and smart.

I have a million apps and have never rated any of them. I have been looking for software like this for years. I was finally able to remove all the old iPhoto duplicates I had which I had since importing my library into Aperture. Works quickly and "auto marking" works great. I didnt have to "un-mark" any pictures. I just cleared out 22 GB in storage! Worth the $3.

Great app! Found all my duplicate pictures and marked them for me. All I had to do was trash the marked photos and I had gigs worth of diskspace back. Highly recommend for photo buffs, who, like me, accidentally imported and copied pics two and three times.

10min it search succesfully ID Dup photos. One click delete. Got me back 16+GB of wasted storage in a few minutes. Thats just the first drive! Worth it! Grab it!

I asked PhotoSweeper to look through my Aperature library. It found over 18,000 photos. It scanned them for duplicates in a little over a minute. Amazing! It was accurate and the interface is clean and simple. I would highly recommend this to anyone with a large library or a library that has been moved and manually managed over the years. It’s nice to know all those dupes are gone, finally.

Cleaned my moms computer while on vacation. Saved me hours. And it only cost 3 buck! great app!

I have been taking digital photos for years, and after replacing computers a few times and adding iPad and iPhoto to the mix, my Photo Libraries were a mess! This app cleaned out all the duplicates in about 10 minutes, clearing up over 5 GB of space on my computer. It only took about 5 minutes to install and figure out how to use this app: highly recommended!

After a crashed harddrive a few years ago, I ended up with many duplicate photos in iPhoto (I restored photos from multiple places - and then restored my whole backup, hence all of the duplicates). This program worked like a charm. It took about an hour to scan the 20,000 photos in my iPhoto library and then another 15-20 to move the dups to trash. In all, this saved me hours upon hours of sorting through photos. Very satisfied.

In the past, I used Duplicate Annihilator to clean up iPhoto, but the Aperature version was returning far too many false positives to be trusted. I’d rather have a bloated library than lose a precious photo. PhotoSweeper Lite was better in every respect. Where DA took three hours to process my 30K photo library, PS ran in under :30. DA “found" 9K duplicates, but I knew many of them were false. PS found 4K duplicates. Best of all, PS’s browser lets you see the origional and duplicate side by side, so I had confidence that its results were accurate With DA, I had to veryfiy results fro within Aperture, which was beyond tedious with such a large library.

Finally, a well written photo duplicate finder. Get it. It works great.
